Revision 3 – The Minstrel

V3.0 The Minstrel (commonly referred to as the Bard) class

Design thoughts: For combat the Minstrel is the archetype booster, he works by boosting others competence and attacks. Compared to bards in other games the Millie Vanilli Minstrel has much less offensive capability of his own and relies mostly on his ability to boost others and move out of the areas of the heaviest battle. The Bladesinger variety have more offensive power of it’s own and the Plainsinger have preemptive healing capabilities. The Spellsinger have a flair for magic and some magical attacks.

Skills wise the Minstrel is in no way a jack of all trades or a sub par thief, he is a traveling raconteur knowledgeable in history and geography. The Spellsinger is the same with added knowledge in arcane and the Bladesinger have a flavor of the skills picked up by a soldiers life.

T1 Minstrel

Design thoughts: The basic dedicated booster.
Combat role: Booster “Flavor”: Bard
Combat cards: 25 and 26
Roleplay: History, geography and perhaps streetwise.
L2P: At tier one you are not so much less of a fighter than your fellow adventurers as you still have the basic attacks and maybe also one or two others from your background and ancestry. However, your main benefit for the party is to keep others up and fighting and that is hard to do when unconscious so do not charge into the midst of enemies.

T2 Minstrel

Design thoughts: The basic dedicated booster.
Combat role: Booster “Flavour”: Bard
Combat cards: 45, 46 and 107
Roleplay: History, geography and perhaps streetwise.
L2P:At tier two you are less of a damage dealer than most of your fellow adventurers but you posses powerful boosts to aid them. Keep out of the most intensive fighting but don’t miss the chance to deal finishing blows to weakened opponents after having boosted your party.

T3 Minstrel

Design thoughts: The basic dedicated booster.
Combat role: Booster “Flavour”: Bard
Combat cards: 62, 108 and 109
Roleplay: History, geography and perhaps streetwise.
L2P:At tier two you are less of a damage dealer than most of your fellow adventurers but you posses powerful boosts to aid them. Keep out of the most intensive fighting but don’t miss the chance to deal finishing blows to weakened opponents after having boosted your party.
